TU/e serves as Project Coordinator, overseeing the project from the scientific and operational standpoints, with a focus on computational modelling research approaches, and leading the project’s communication, dissemination, and exploitation activities.

UM leads research on circulation-level modelling of thrombosis, supporting the development of patient-specific models to predict thrombosis-related clinical outcomes.

UvA leads research on cell-level computational modelling of thrombus formation, to capture the microscopic processes involved in clot initiation and cellular interactions.

Charité’s interdisciplinary teams work at the interface between engineering, medicine, and clinical practice.

Charité supports computational modelling approaches describing thrombus formation and their clinical validation, ensuring the clinical relevance of the models developed in the project.

University of Leeds (LEEDS)

LEEDS is a globally recognised research university with strong expertise in cardiovascular science and thrombosis research. Its School of Medicine hosts leading groups investigating blood clot structure, platelet biology, and thrombus mechanics.

LEEDS focuses on thrombus-level modelling, investigating how blood clots grow, contract, rupture, and dissolve, thereby linking cellular processes to larger-scale thrombosis dynamics.

UBERN supervises several doctoral candidates and contributes to computational modelling and cardiovascular research within the project. The university provides research infrastructure and clinical imaging expertise to support the development and validation of thrombosis models.

USFD provides expertise in cardiovascular physiology and predictive models of thrombus formation. Within the project, the university supports the development and validation of computational models to understand disease mechanisms and improve treatment strategies.

Stichting Catharina Ziekenhuis (CZE)

Catharina Hospital is a Dutch cardiovascular centre with strong expertise in vascular surgery, interventional cardiology, and clinical research. The hospital collaborates closely with academic institutions to support translational research and improve patient outcomes in cardiovascular diseases.

CZE offers clinical expertise in vascular surgery and cardiovascular imaging. Within the project, the hospital participates in the training programme and co-supervises doctoral candidates, helping to connect modelling approaches with clinical practice and patient care.

Within ThromboRisk, Lynkeus serves as the dissemination manager, supporting the beneficiaries in their dissemination, communication and exploitation obligations and contributing to achieving the project’s expected impacts.
